This month I'd like to share a game that is on the verge of derailing all our future releases, as I spend so much time playing it. Zatikon is a well balanced deep strategy title that will appeal to people who like turn based complex strategy games. What is it like? Zatikon is a lot like Chess, but with many more pieces, and where all the pieces have special abilities. There are two levels of strategy. One is in choosing the set of pieces and combinations of pieces you will use and other is in how you play the pieces.(much like playing chess) This isn't a game for everyone, but if deep turn based strategy and chess like games appeal to you then you should definitely give it a try. The basic game is free but there are some add-on packs that can be purchased later if you get hooked. Also note that Zatikon is an online game. You can play against the computer to practice but the real fun comes in when you try to outwit opponents playing from around the world. You can even team up with other players and play a team game! Zatikon is available for Windows, Macintosh or Linux.
